Walkie Talkie online
A push-to-talk walkie-talkie in your browser. Hold the button, talk, let go: your voice plays for everyone in the room, on a computer, a phone or an Amazfit watch.
Getting started▾
1. Open this page: you start in the Echo room and hear yourself back, so you can check your mic. 2. Tap the gear to get a 6-digit code and give it to a friend. 3. Your friend taps the gear and types it under Friend’s code, in a browser or on an Amazfit watch. 4. Hold the button, talk, let go. No accounts, nothing to install.
How do I pair with a friend?▾
Both of you tap the gear: one shares their 6-digit code, the other types it under Friend’s code. Either side can be a browser or an Amazfit watch. A code works once and expires in 10 minutes.
How do I talk?▾
Hold the big button (or the Space bar on a keyboard), speak, let go. The clip plays for everyone in the room. One person talks at a time, like a real walkie-talkie.
What is the Echo room?▾
The room you start in. It plays every clip back to you, so you can check your microphone before pairing. Leaving a room brings you back to Echo.
How many people can be in one room?▾
Two. Rooms of 3 or more need Walkie Talkie Pro on the Amazfit watch that hosts the room.
Who can hear my messages?▾
Anyone in the room: a room is its code, and everyone who joined with a code stays in until they leave. Clips travel through our relay and are deleted from it within two minutes; nothing is stored, and we don’t listen. It’s a walkie-talkie, not a secure messenger, so don’t use it for secrets.
Does the page have to stay open?▾
Yes. You only receive while this page is open. On a computer a background tab keeps working; on a phone keep the page in front with the screen on. Anything sent while it’s closed is missed.
What do the ring and the numbers mean?▾
Lime outer ring = connected, grey = no connection. The numbers inside the button are online / in the room. ECHO means you are in the Echo room.
I see “Tap to hear”. Why?▾
Phones (iPhone especially) only play sound after you touch the page once. Tap anywhere and the waiting clips play.
Good to know
How long can a clip be?▾
Up to 5 seconds. The ring runs down while you hold.
Do I need an Amazfit watch?▾
No. Two browsers can talk to each other. Amazfit watches with the
Walkie Talkie app for Amazfit watches join the same rooms: Zepp OS 3+ models with a mic and speaker, such as GTR 4, GTS 4, Balance, Active, Active 2, T-Rex 3, Bip 5/6 and Cheetah.
Which browsers work?▾
A recent browser with a microphone, on a computer or a phone. Allow the microphone when asked; the first press only grants access, the next one talks.
Can I install it like an app?▾
Yes. Add the page to your home screen (Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen) or use Install in the browser menu, and it opens full screen like an app.
Is it free?▾
Yes. No account, no ads, nothing to install.
